It all Began when….

Several years ago, I had a vision of a retreat for women passionate about landscape & nature photography. An intimate in person workshop retreat focused on chasing the light in beautiful scenery and opportunity to connect, create and build community among like minded women. The concept of a women’s retreat was not new nor was a landscape photography workshop, but a landscape photography focused retreat for a small group of women was an idea I had never seen before. As I continued to teach my online landscape photography workshop, The World Around You, my love for landscape photography and sharing it with others became stronger. And my desire to bring women together to share their passion and excitement for this genre grew. I was convinced there was a need to bring an intimate and welcoming opportunity for women to create and explore together.

With my heart in the Tetons since I was a little girl, the idea was born for the Magic in the Tetons retreat. Spending time at my grandparents’ 1970 built home my whole life brought a love and knowledge of these incredible mountains and there is nowhere in the world I would rather explore and photograph. The 2017 and 2018 September Teton retreats were a wonderful success filled with incredible memories, beautiful views, and special friendships. With the June and September 2019 retreats sold out within minutes, I will again host two retreats in the Tetons in 2020 and am looking to expand my retreats to additional locations. The Tetons will always have my heart but I look forward to bringing ladies together to explore a variety of scenery & shooting opportunities. And the friendship and community created is priceless.

Send me a message if you have a great location idea! In the meantime, I’m working on a few ideas :)
