Enchantment in the Rockies
November 6-10, 2019
Hosted by Kristen Ryan & Gina Yeo
The Canadian Rocky Mountains are undoubtedly one of the most awe inspiring and impressive mountain ranges in the world. November is a peaceful time in the Canadian Rockies. The change from fall into winter occurs early in the Rockies and is evident in November. A cool crispness in the air, soft dustings of snow and undisturbed natural elements are all nestled below grande and rugged mountain peaks. The tranquil but impressive mood is plentiful during this season from the jaw dropping sunrises and the captivating sunsets to the magical star filled night skies and everything in between.
Enchantment in the Rockies is a four day landscape photography retreat created by women for women. SPECIAL ACTIVITY NOTE:
The Canadian Rockies boasts some of the most beautiful scenery in the world but we must be prepared for the elements and natural conditions. We strongly recommend you consider your physical capabilities prior to registering for this retreat. Some locations are a short and simple walk from where the vehicles will be parked however other locations will require walking, up to approximately several kms, on steep, uneven, wet and possibly snow and ice covered terrain. Some of the terrain has grade changes from flat to descending or inclining. We highly suggest that you are in good physical health and are able to carry your photography gear through these types of terrains. Your safety is our paramount concern and we will always consider the safety and well being of the group at all times but in order to make the most out of your trip we need you to consider your ability level.
Participants should also be prepared for a vigorous schedule. Sunrise is at approximately 7:30am during the retreat and sunset will be at around 5:00pm. Twilight times occur prior to and after these times. There will also be night photography and possibly the chance to capture the magic of an aurora should we be so lucky for an event. Driving times to and from locations can be up to an hour one way. This means very early mornings and late nights.
We are incredibly delighted to be able to offer Enchantment in the Rockies! We look forward to meeting you and spending four incredible, once in a lifetime days, immersed in beautiful landscape, learning, creating and connecting.
